A workshop exploring the use of pastels and introducing techniques for making the best of this versatile medium. Express the colours of the natural world with exuberance and learn how to harness the background colour and make it work for you.
By the end of the day, you will know the techniques of drawing pastel landscapes and will have produced beautiful work to take home.

The classes will include contour and linear drawing, tonal values, observational drawing and basic perspective. This is a weekly class and beginners are welcome. There will be a qualified teacher and a warm and supportive environment.
There is ample free parking and a cafe on site.
Brusho is a highly pigmented watercolour crystal which reacts with water. You will learn how to design and make your own stencil and use brusho to paint colourful Christmas themed pictures, each of which will be unique.
You will get to take home five Christmas cards to mount with your designs.

Join us for a fun evening exploring and experimenting with acrylic paint. We will be using different materials with the paint for use in your final pieces. Chalk pastels on coloured paper– learn to use the colour of the background in your design. We will be exploring this versatile medium and creating landscape drawings which incorporate the colour of the background paper as a major part of the work. Materials provided. £45
